September 30th: |
- CashActive (paid surfing and more) has started paying. They have also completely redesigned their service. See the new review for updates.
(review here)
- Good news from ClickDough for international members... They will start accepting international check requests in one week and the first round of checks (most in local currency) will go out near the end of October.
(review here)
- PaymentAlternatives (reviewed yesterday) is having some problems keeping up with the large amount of visitors they've been getting (if you read the review then you know why.) They will be completely upgrading their site this weekend so check back with them early next week.

September 28th: |
- As a lot of you probably know, Jotter has been acquired by SAFLINK (a biometrics corporation.) The bad news is that SAFLINK announced today that, as of the end of September, they would be discontinuing the get paid program. This isn't a big surprise but it's happened much sooner than anyone expected. Poopy, because Jotter was the best paid surfing company around.
It's obviously SAFLINK's prerogative to do whatever they want with the company but it seems a little wrong that Jotter is willing to end it this way, giving members no future credit for all of the referrals. After all, referrals are the soul reason they are a large enough company to make them an interesting acquisition for SAFLINK.
In fact, if you'd like to email Jotter and let them know what you think about this,
click here. And if you'd like to email SAFLINK too, just for good measure, click here. Maybe an email or fifty will make both companies realize what kind of impression they are leaving on the internet by making this move.
- Jotter's spot on the Top Ten list has been replaced by Epinions. Great company if you haven't seen it yet.

- Just reviewed a great looking new paid surfing, email and chatting program called CatPile.
(review here)
- New company out called FunBug that give members entries into weekly $10,000 drawings for playing games, shopping, referring others, etc... Launches today. Many members are already winning cash prizes. (review here)
- Just reviewed a very new paid email (and more) company called PeoplePond. Looks fairly good but don't have all the details yet.
(review here)
|
September 26th: |
- The NetFlip referral program is no more. Members will still get paid for referrals they already have but will not be able to refer new members to the search program. They have a new referral program for 'FastCash' offers to take it's place.

September 25th: |
- Paid email company, MailMint, has started sending paid emails. (review here)
- PayBar (older paid surfing company) has lowered rates yet again. They're now paying $.036/hour. No major loss for most, PayBar rates were always low.
(review here) |
September 23rd: |
- Paid surfing company QuikDough (reviewed earlier today) wasn't quite ready for all the traffic. Looks like they were just trying to beta test their site and word got out about them. When they officially launch there will be a notice posted here and sent out to Update People subscribers. (To join the Update People list go to this page).
- Pretty much everyone knows about ClickDough... They're one of the top five paid surfing companies. Apparently you can't have too much of a good thing because, through a partnership between the ClickDough people and QuikInternet, there is now a new service out that is identical to ClickDough (with $.20/hour, unlimited, rates) called QuikDough. (review here)

September 22nd: |
- Just reviewed a new paid email company called MintMail. Looks good.
(review here)
- Remember MintMail (see above)? Now there's MailMint. Doesn't look all that good.
(review here)
- The rumors were true. Surfing2Cash is bankrupt and has gone offline.
- AllAdvantage reminder... For obvious reasons, a lot of people have stopped using AA since they added WOW program and lowered personal surfing rates. Just wanted to mention that aside from the $50,000 they're giving away daily they will also be drawing around 6000 members at the end of the month. All of these members will win $60 in cash. Their referrers will win $30. This makes the odds pretty good if you have a fair amount of referrals.
(review here)
- Paid email company, Total-Email had partnered with YesMail. This should mean that they will be sending out a great deal more paid emails in the near future. (review here)

- Newest issue of the ezine is on it's way. See it here.
- Remember the logo poll from the 13th? Here are the results:
- Yes: 52%
- No: 16%
- I am a pony: 26%
- The last 6% didn't have an answer or were offended by free money
The high pony percentages proves how easy it really is to get free money on the internet.
- If you've been thinking of using some kind of paid advertising for your site, GoTo is probably the best option. You can get 100's of extra visitors a month for $10 or $15 (bids start at $.02/visit). Right now GoTo is offering new members $10 in advertising credit for signing up and $25 in advertising credit for each referral. (Offer ends October 31st.) To signup/learn more,
- GoldenChannel.net is no more. This makes them the shortest lived paid surfing company of all time. If you had a chance to see their site, you know why.

September 19th: |

- OnlineChoice is now paying double for referrals. The offer lasts for the next 25,000 new members through the referrals program.
(review here)
- Paid listening/surfing company, PayPile has increased the personal rate to $.20/hour. Referral rates are still $.10/hour and they are now paying for 4 levels of referrals instead of 5. Current members will not lose any referrals because of the change.

September 15th: |
- The InfoRocket referral program is back. $10 for every referral and $5 for every referrals referral.
(review here)
- New Israeli paid visiting company out called CashIC. (review here)

September 14th: |
- All Skiddily (paid email and start page company) members must now validate their account within 5 days of signing up or their account will be put on hold. If you haven't validated yet, they give you 30 days before canceling your account. Skiddily, by the way, has been great so far. One of the quickest companies to start paying in recent history. (review here)

September 13th: |
- New paid email company called MailClicker just launched. (review here)
- We have a new logo... Do you like it?
- Paid email company, CashMagic, appears to be in the process of merging with SendMoreInfo (review here). All CashMagic website has been taken down and all CashMagic accounts will become SendMoreInfo accounts in the near future.
|
September 12th: |
- New referral service out called PayTree (used to be a lotto company.) It costs money to join but it's worth it if you have a $20 bill you're not overly attached to. (review here)
|
September 11th: |
- A lot of people have been having problems with the paid surfing company, Surfing2Cash lately and they haven't been answering emails. Thought maybe a few dowen more emails might get them thinking. If you're a member, email them at this address and this one too. Let them know you'd think it would be damn nifty if they'd let you know what's going on and/or send out and update to members.

September 10th: |
- New paid surfing company out called Ad-Viewers. ClickDough style.
(review here)
|
September 9th: |
- Brand new free airline miles company out called MileSpree. Looks pretty good. Also, MilesSource (an older free miles company) has redesigned their website and improved their service. (reviews here)
- New paid games company out called GamesBoro. (review here)
- X.com (the company that owns PayPal) just got a new round of financing and is planning to expand internationally much more quickly than they previously planned. International members will be able to sign up and start using the service in the next month or two. All tranactions will be in US currency at first but local currency will be available for most countries by the end of the year. PayPal is a must if you haven't joined yet as they are quickly becoming the payment method of choice for 'get paid online' type companies.

September 8th: |
- The ClickyCash website appears to be down right now. No word from them about what's going on yet.
(review here)
|
September 6th: |
- Sad news from SweepSurf (formerly mValue)... The new referral program does not pay members when their referrals win so it appears that all referrals members had before mValue became SweepSurf no longer mean anthing. Apparently they're not interested in creating member loyalty.
(review here)
- AllAdvantage rates have been updated... Looks like members without referrals in a lot of countries are going to be better off with the WOW program. In some countries it will take members without referrals a couple of years to earn the minimum check amount. (review here)
- FreeJoin has been cancelled by their ISP. No word from them about whether or not they'll be going back online with another ISP or not.
(review here)
- Ugly day for paid surfing news huh? On the bright side, ePIPO is running smoothly at $.35/hour, CashSurfers and SurfingPrizes checks are on their way and...
- Spedia rates are now $.60/hour for unlimted hours, available internationally. Looks like the rate increase was an attempt to make up for serious time crediting problems during August. (Although it wasn't enough to ofset the losses.) Spedia is now ranked the 8th most popular site on the net.

September 5th: |
- Did you notice the lack of news over the past few days? That's because no one was here to update it and mobile access was too jiggy to be of any use this time. News is now back with a new company review for later tonight or tomorrow.
- New company out that is trying to create the internets first artificial intelligence. They'll even pay you to participate.
(review here)
- VirtuAds just up and died. We were a little surprised since they just redesigned and relaunched their service less than a month ago. The review has been removed.
- In response to questions from a couple of visitors about Jotter... Yes, earnings are available internationally but the referral program is not. International members can make money but it will not be paid until Jotter expands to their country.
(review here)
- The goZing free pager promotion has ended. They are still planning pay members for seeing advertisements on their pagers/cell phones/Palm VII's as well as for referralls referrals 2 levels deep. (review here)
- CashSurfers most recent rates (June) are around $.15/hour for US members and $.07/hour for International members. Max surfing hours have been set at 100 (more than enough for most people) and international checks should go out some time this month.

September 2nd: |
- Great new referral program out from FarmBid. $5 to sign up and $10/referral.
(review here)
- Removed the review of FreeInternetIncome because they don't seem to actually have a program going. Looks like it was just a way to get referrals for the next big MLM to come around.
- Removed our review of the referral company, GiftingClub. It actually did end up working out but has slowed down lately and appears to be up for sale.
|
September 1st: |
- Just reviewed a new 'get paid' company called ADollarAMinute and decided they weren't worth the time it takes to sign up. Unusual requirements and virtually no real earning potential.
- Top ten paid surfing company, SurfingPrizes, is closing down for good as of today. Apparently they had problems selling their advertising inventory and aren't interested in the hassle of taking a loss for the months of August/September and sticking it out. Members can request a check for their remaining balance here.
- ePIPO has been bumped up to the top ten to fill the smoking hole left by SurfingPrizes.
