- SmartReply has announced that they will be making their first round of payments in the second quarter of 2001. Since that ends this month payments are hopefully on the way. They'll be paying quarterly from now on whenever a member has $50, or more, in their account. SmartReply is still looking like one of the best opportunities on the net.

- There is a new distributed processing company out that is paying. They don't have a referral program so we're not going to do a full review. It's called the Capacity Calibration Network. Members get paid $10 to sign up and payments are made monthly via PayPal. They pay $.30/hour and all active members make a minimum of $10/month. The catch is that you have to be active to get paid which means that your system has to be available at least 10 hours/day. You can get more info at their site

- Someone at the message board just posted that Vi-Direct's (paid surfing) bar is out, working and nicely designed. No confirmation yet about whether or not they're paying but they might be worth a second look. (review here)

- 3ECS review has been removed until we find out whether or not they're going to charge members to participate. In either case it looks like they are going to focus on porn file sharing. Probably not a good move.

Also, the 5 members with the most reviews by July 31st will each win 2500 Indian Rupees (approx $53 USD). (review here)
- For anyone that hasn't heard, Reasource-A-Day got hacked. They haven't lost any information but their main domain is still down. Use the backup domain: resource-a-day.net (instead of .com) to check your account. Also, make sure to update your referral links until the .com domain goes back online.

- My-Cash-Email (EmailPaysU clone) has been sending a pretty decent amount of paid emails. With the help of the $10 sign up bonus the $29.99 minimum payout isn't too far away for most members. (review here)

- We have a new sponsor! Ok, normally that wouldn't really be something for the news page but, as some of your know, The Get Paid to be Online Page does not accept sponsors unless they are offering something that has sincere value. We turn lots of potential sponsors down.
You've probably seen websites (or been spammed about them) that offer "free" vacations? The majority of these offers are legitimate but, unfortunately, have so much fine print and so many restrictions that they're not really worth the time.
Our sponsor, GuessTheView, is one of these companies. Unlike most others, however, their terms and conditions are very straightforward and there is no catch. You pay $9.95 for a 3 day, 2 night deluxe accommodations stay at any of 40 locations (including Hawaii and Las Vegas). The only major restriction is that you have to book you room 30 days in advance.
There are two reasons that this company can do this. First, they are able to make deals with the hotels because they can offer a large quantity of visitors. Second, they are a travel discount company and they hope that by giving you something for free you will be more apt to buy a membership. (There is, however, no obligation and, unlike similar offers from other companies, you won't have to listen to a sales pitch during your vacation.)
You can get your vacation here (opens a new window)... Have fun.

- TerraShare members... If you haven't already heard, TerraShare is closing down. Don't forget to move your site, TerraShare could be offline as early as the 7th. Review removed.
- Ya'll remember TrafficJamit (PassItOn)? They are now back online with an improved website. The program itself remains unchanged... Here's a quick overview:
Once pre-launch is over they plan to send out 25-75 paid emails/month and pay for 15 levels of referrals. A large portion of these advertisements will come from other members. In order to receive credit for an ad, members must answer a simple question found at the end of the email.
We're still not going to be posting an actual review of this one. It's getting mentioned again because the $2000 guarantee (see below) looks slightly less unbelieveable than it did before. The chances of the guarantee panning out are still virtually nil but it looks a lot more like the owner sincerely wants to make the program work.
The Guarantee: Any member who refers 3, or more, active people will get a written guarantee stating that they will make $2000, or more, during one of their first 6 months. An active member is defined as someone who reads and responds to all of the advertisements sent to them during a given month.
We figure it can't hurt to sign up and get three referrals just to see what happens. If you're worried about SPAM make sure to use an alternate email address. You can sign up here
