Hi. Nice to see you've made it here to the year 2001. It's good to be alive isn't it? (Note: If you

Most of you have probably noticed that there are now popup window advertisements on the News Page 
and the main Pay By Hour Page. Hopefully these aren't too annoying. If you're a webmaster and want 
to find out more about the company serving these ads, there is a review in the Webmaster Section:

Note: Some people have mentioned problems with the popups crashing their browser. If this is

Include the name your operating system and broswer as well as when the crashes are happening. This 
will help get the problem fixed as quickly as possible.

[Pay By Hour Services]

The paid surfing industry has been a bit of a mess over the last month. A lot of companies have 
remained unchanged but there have been problems with others... 

GetPaid4 has been offline since the beginning of January and has neglected to tell anyone what's 
going on. 

ClickDough (formerly MoveAbout) is offline until February 1st because of problems they had with 
their About.com partnership. They have filed suit against About because if alleged 
mis-representation.

ePIPO payments are still delayed for most members. According to them they will be paying everyone 
via Ecount very soon. Apparently members will not have to sign up with Ecount manually, ePIPO will 
take care of the details.

AllAdvantage is, for all intents and purposes, no longer a paid surfing company. This actually 
happened last month but now they've really rubbed it in. 

Other paid surfing news since last issue: (oldest first)
~CashSpace is now in paying beta
~BlueTree has a redesigned website. Still not paying.
~New company: Coins2Cash. Worth a look.
~GoThruUs is back online.
~E2Dia (Malaysian paid surfing) released their paying software.
~E2Dia went offline for good. (Possibly something in the water.)
~Surf2Web is off to join the big startup in the sky.
~New company: SurfUnit. Looks good but might have previously been Surfing2Cash.
~New company: MilesBar. Great one if you like free airline miles.

[Paid Email Services]

Paid Email is a big as ever. The only bad news in this section is that MoneyForMail seems to have 
disappeared. Not a big loss if they don't make it back.

Other news since last issue:
~New company: ahMoola. Already sending paid emails.
~New company: MailRound. A bit different.
~PeoplePond started a referral promotion... $100 to every 500th new members and $30 to their referrer.
~New company: IncentiveMail. Looks good.
~New company: TrafficInfusion. 5 levels of referrals.
~TheMail (paid mail account) lowered rates.
~We feel it is only fair that you know... Right now, the entire Get Paid to be Online Page is as 
naked as... a really naked thing.
~New company: EmailPaysU. $10 to sign up.
~PeoplePond has gone into full launch and should start sending paid emails this week.

[Referral Services]

There have been all kinds of good opportunities in this section. Enough to make up for the lull in 
paid surfing and then some. Unfortunately one of the most interesting new companies: OffShore.tv was 
a limited time offer that has expired.

Probably the best new company in this section is called VivaRebates. They are paying $10/referral 
plus $5/referral for 10 levels of indirects. Don't miss it.

Another that is particularly interesting is ThePayLine. The program is very unique and the details 
are a little long to include here. See the review for more info. (This is a very time sensitive 
offer.)

Other news since last issue:
~XMarksTheSpot was acquired by Aptimus who didn't like the referral program.
~eLance referral program ended.
~VisaRebates became VivaRebates. Make sure to update your links.
~OffShore.tv launched, reached 25000 members in under a week and has now temporarily closed new 
sign ups.
~GoRefer, in the midst of an identity crisis, ended their referral program.

More new companies in this section than any other. There are two that are especially worth checking 
out...

DeltaClick is paying members $5 to download a small Internet Explorer plugin that sits just below 
the address bar and pays members for clicking on related links. Referral program as well. This 
one could be very big.

TwelveAway will soon be launching a paid game similar to the American game show "Who Wants To Be A 
Millionaire?". It looks very good so far. The only downside is that it's hard to believe they'll 
actually be paying the high awards they offer.

Other news since last issue:
~CashGlow (paid chatting) is now in full paying launch.
~New company: EarningDaily. Don't waste your time.
~Soundom (paid listening) released the beta version of their software.
~New company: CashPaidNow. Paid visiting.
~New company: WebEarners. Fairly good paid visiting.
~Soundom paying software is available to all members.
~No more ClickyCash.
~New company: TrashTraffic. Webmaster program. Not great.
~New company: Click-Jet. Paid visiting, $3/referral.
~New company: PopUpSponsor. Very good sponsor program for webmasters.
~New company: EzClickThru. Traffic for webmasters. 10 referral levels.
~PaidLead (paid visiting) sent their first round of checks.
~DeltaClick is now paying all members.
~FunBug now has multi-player games.
~New company: Catch-A-Rainbow. Paid game/sweepstakes.
~New company: Mojodo. Not much going for them.
~CashMap (paid lots of stuff) is now paying via PayPal and ProPay.

(Note: Looks like Alex is our only visitor that's read Douglas Adams' "Hitchhikers Guide to the 
Galaxy" series. Too bad that.)

Free money is related to the meaning of life because money should have absolutely nothing to do with 
life. 

I have dedicated myself to many of these "get paid" programs not because I am greedy, but because 
I am tired of being a slave to debt and bills. I think that life is much too important to spend it 
worrying about how I'm going to pay next month's rent. Hence, I have searched out avenues which 
could possibly set me free in the near future, financially speaking. Get paid programs could very 
well be that source of emancipation. 

What would we do with ourselves if we didn't have our 9-5 jobs, one might ask? PLENTY! We would 
explore what it means to be human, discover places we'd never been before, and awaken the child in 
each of us that, before we became hardened by our jobs and the almighty dollar, was curious and 
energetic and actually gave a damn about the world around us. I pursue free money because I want to 
love life again, and I have a feeling that many of you out there just might feel the same way.

(Note: Nice answer. Have to add, however, that loving life comes first. Money is frequently a 
symptom of happiness.)

I'm very sure the two are related because every time I receive a check containing free money I 
ascend to a higher level of existence in a blinding flash of light accompanied by a faint buzzing 
sound and a 'pop'. A few minutes later everything is generally normal again. This happens to everyone 
doesn't it?
