It's been kind of a mixed month in the 'get paid' world. Everything is going well in that checks 
are still plentiful and getting bigger all the time with most companies. On the other hand, a 
couple of the paid surfing companies have been having a hard time of it, mostly because of 
humorously bad management (more below.)

We had some more problems with the CGI servers so the message board was down for over a week. 
Looks like everything has been sorted out now, though... message at will:

companies (for those of you that want to cut down on bookmarks.)

-Pay By Hour Services-

The majority of paid surfing companies are doing as well or better than last month. The only major 
exceptions are CashFiesta, AllAdvantage and mValue (and some of the second rate companies that you 
can always count on to disappoint you.)

CashFiesta has managed to lose most of their advertisers and is having some major problems with 
their site (it's been completely down for some time now.) This isn't really all that surprising, 
they rushed into things at the beginning, far before they were ready.

AllAdvantage (following mValue's lead this time) has introduced a new sweepstakes option. (Members 
choose between sweepstakes and paid surfing mode.) This is good for some and bad for others. It 
just depends on your perspective. The thing that's really going to piss members off is that 
they've lowered their personal surfing pay rates from $.53/hour to $.20/hour for US members. They 
also raised the minimum hours from 15/month to 20/month but the extra 5 hours obviously isn't 
going to make up for the rate drop. Keep in mind, though, that referral rates are going to remain 
the same so, unless a lot of your referrals stop using the software, your earnings should stay 
about the same.

Not the best news but at least they're still paying. Also keep in mind that a lot of members (and 
their referrers) are going to be winning large cash prizes using the sweepstakes option.

mValue is going to be completely dropping their paid surfing program and starting a surf for prizes 
(mostly cash) program starting September 1st. This is too bad but, on the bright side, it looks 
like they will be running the most generous program of it's kind on the net.

Paid surfing news since last issue: (oldest first)
~SurfingPrizes lowered rates to around $.12/hour.
~ePIPO is now paying all members: $.35/hour and $.20/hour depending on screen resolution.
~Adsenger released beta version of their software.
~KoalaCash dis and re-appeared with a new design. Looking better.
~FreeJoin released their paying software.
~YellowBubble purchased SharkHunt. Good things may be on the way.
~mValue announced the switch to a surf for prizes company starting September 1st.
~ePIPO member stats went back online.
~AllAdvantage announced a new sweepstakes option starting September 1st.
~CashFiesta went all to hell. Apparently they were distracted from their regular company running 
duties because a short, hairy and somewhat ugly little man was chewing on their leg.

Here are the "by hour" services that have come out since the last NewsList:

SurferDollars (August 9th) - Not great but some potential.
PayPile       (August 9th) - Paid surfing/listening. Looks good.
SurferAll     (August 21st) - Not even worth reviewing.
WeeG00        (August 24th) - Very good, take a look.
PayBarrow     (August 25th) - Almost as bad as SurferAll

-Other Services-

There have been far less bumps in the road outside of paid surfing. Paid email companies, in 
particular, are doing very well lately.

Only major news (depending on what you call major) in this section is that Jackpot will be 
discontinuing their slot machine software. Members can now play the game only through the 
Jackpot.com website. Jackpot is reviewed on this page:

~MyRewards extended their $3/referral, $2/indirect referral promo.
~Chat4Cash started paying.
~Skiddily started paying and then thought better of it.
~New release date for Skiddily is scheduled for 'soon.'
~ColorStamps went to meet the big referral plan in the sky.
~WaveVu is now in beta testing
~Adsenger is in paid beta testing. (All members.)
~God save the king.
~MoneyMessage beta version is out.
~RadioFreeCash announced full launch.
~IntelliAd is now beta testing.
~What is this beta testing thing all about, anyway?
~iSchool launched a very generous referral program, kept it going for about 3 days and cancelled 
it.
~zDen is now paying members pretty much everywhere in the world.

InfoRocket... Get paid $10 for every referral and $5 for everyone your referrals refer. Very 
impressive and still going after all this time.

PayPro... A lot like PayPal but aimed more at online business. $10/referral.

search box plus 2 levels of referral and $2 for first and second level referrals who sign up for 
website promotion.
